Meet the Presenters

 

Dr. Alex Castilla, Senior Education Consultant, Tahseen Consulting

Dr. Castilla is a leading university admissions counselor. He assisted over 100 students to gain admissions to selective colleges in the US and around the world. With his assistance, students have received over $1 million in merit based scholarships. Castilla has fifteen years of experience in education as a teacher, college counselor, published writer, and professor and holds a Ph.D. in International Education from Columbia University. He is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling.

Alisyn Henneck, Enrollment Marketing Manager for Language & Professional Programs, Monterey Institute of International Studies  

Alisyn Henneck, Enrollment Marketing Manager for Language & Professional Programs, Monterey Institute of International Studies

Ms. Henneck brings over five years of experience advising and coaching students and professionals preparing for international education experiences. She currently serves as the initial point of contact for prospective students and professionals interested in language learning and training at the Monterey Institute. A marketing professional, Henneck specializes in preparing students and leaders to present and market themselves as competitive candidates for the education and job markets in the U.S. and abroad. Ms. Henneck has a M.A. in International Education Management from the Monterey Institute and a B.A. in Spanish and International Studies: Diplomacy, Law and International Relations at the University of Oregon Clark Honors College.

Assistant Director, Intensive English Programs  

Katie Dutcher, Assistant Director, Intensive English Programs

Katie has taught summer intensive English programs at the Universidad Autόnoma de Morelos in Cuernavaca, Mexico. She taught English for Academic Purposes at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. During her four years there, she appreciated the opportunity to collaborate with foreign and Moroccan colleagues, refine her approach to teaching reading and writing, and gain administrative experience. In her current position as assistant director of Intensive English Programs, Katie enjoys the daily opportunity to provide support and coordination to students and instructors in the ESL program as well as special programs throughout the year.
