Village Runner is proud to work with Positive Energy and Erik Taylor's Fitness to offer the South Bay's running community a free, educational running seminar to get you started on the right foot and stay strong throughout 2012! The next seminar will take place this Saturday, January 28th at 10AM at Positive Energy in Redondo Beach.
Sean Ryan PT, owner of Positive Energy Physical Therapy and Motion Analysis, will discuss how hip weakness contributes to the two most common running injuries - patellofemoral pain syndrome and iliotibial band syndrome. Sean will detail how weakness leads to instability of the leg contributing to poor running mechanics.
Erik Taylor will demonstrate a smart approach to functional strength exercise for endurance athletes. During the seminar you will learn how to use functional exercise for fat loss, strength, and conditioning. Avoid injuries and maximize the benefits of your endurance training with this approach to fitness.
