Workshop: Simple Tricks for Stunning Presentation Slides
How many times have you gone to a conference and the presentation slides are just, well, uninspiring? Want to avoid the "yawn" factor with your own slides? Don’t blame PowerPoint, but rather, learn how to use it with the mindset of a graphic designer. Discover quick tricks for giving your slides impact and why Garr Reynold’s Presentation Zen, Nancy Duarte’s Slid-o-logy, and Robin William’s CRAP principles really do work. Come with a PowerPoint that needs some love, and walk away with a toolkit of ways to transform it into a truly useful and visually appealing representation of what you really want to convey.
Hands On. BYOC (Bring your own computer). This is a hands on workshop so bring your own laptop (observers without computers are also welcome) and your enthusiasm because this workshop emphasizes a practical, hands-on approach to learning about technology.
Presenter: Annesa Hartman is a 2002 alumna of the Marlboro College Graduate Center and currently is an instructional designer for Kaplan University. She is also the author of 5 books on computer graphic software and design and has been teaching computer graphics for over 17 years.
