Get Better Video Online with any Camera and Free Tools!

Learn how to get better video online with any point and shoot camera or smartphone. Bring your camera and we’ll practice composition, microphone proximity and lighting. Basic editing tools and upload options will be presented. All resources will be on the Web with a link provided to attendees.


Free! This workshop is free to the public and is perfect for teachers, small business owners, artists, communications professionals and anyone interested in harnessing the power of video on the Internet.


Hands On. BYOC (Bring your own camera). This is a hands on workshop so bring your own laptop (observers without computers are also welcome) to and your enthusiasm because this workshop emphasizes a practical, hands-on approach to learning about technology.

About the Presenter:

Caleb directs the EdTech program where he also teaches. His interests include: eportfolios, video/photo production, physical computing, citizen journalism, and humanizing technology.  Caleb's passion for Internet technology and media began when he was a web master, and stringer for Wired Magazine, in 1994-1997 in San Francisco. Caleb regularly presents at conferences and publishes.

Caleb's work also encompasses academic technology support for Marlboro's graduate school faculty, as well as technology integration consulting work for Putney Central Middle School. He is on the board of VITALearn and The Neighborhood Schoolhouse. 

Caleb has an MPS (terminal) from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, an MA in Educational Technology from San Diego State University, and a BA is from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
