Join designer and educator Andrew Kutchera as he shows you ways to think about typefaces and letterforms to strengthen and improve your design concepts. You’ll leave with the tools to confidently incorporate typography as a central part of your design compositions.

Andrew Kutchera - Designer and Educator
Andrew Kutchera earned his BA in Art History and Spanish from Lawrence University, and his MFA in graphic design from California Institute of the Arts. He has worked both in a full-time capacity and as a freelance consultant for a number of organizations, including University of Southern California, The Workbook, Hillstone Restaurant Group, and the YMCA of Los Angeles. His work includes identity, branding, typography and publication work. Andrew currently works as a freelance art director. He taught at UCLA Extension, where he was named an Outstanding Instructor in the Arts in 2009. He currently teaches all upper-level courses at University of Southern California’s Roski School of Fine Arts. Andrew also manages the Adobe Illustrator Group/Los Angeles, where he organizes events that advocate new technologies in the creative realm and across multiple platforms.
Rufus Deuchler – Worldwide Design Evangelist
Senior Worldwide Design Evangelist at Adobe Systems with an affinity for creative technology, Rufus Deuchler has established himself as a leader in a very specialized arena. With experience as a corporate and editorial designer, he brings more than 15 years of hands-on experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications to the creative table. Rufus adds another dimension to the arena by delivering comprehensive training programs to audiences large and small across the globe, and also contributes time as a teacher for graphic design students. He is an expert in creative workflows with on Adobe solutions. Based in Italy, Rufus enjoys traveling the world to further his mission as a software evangelist.
