Event Details

Thom Britton's critically acclaimed (really!) one man show blends science, freakshow, and storytelling into a 70 minute journey that is unlike any other.

Fire Eating! Glass Walking! and more...Come see it.

This series of shows is a fundraiser for the Chicago Variety Theater. Mr. Britton will be donating 50% of all money to this fund, the other half goes to the house, printing, etc....

 

** To ensure you have a seat, please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to show time. If you are late, we'll let you in, but you might have to stand or sit on the floor. **

Thom Britton Jr. has been producing critically acclaimed and financially successful circus and vaudeville shows for almost a decade.

FreakShow & Tell

FreakShow & Tell is Thom Britton's critically acclaimed one man show that covers his very personal journey into the world of the circus sideshow.

One part lecture & one part performance art, FreakShow & Tell is a 70 minute examination of the American FreakShow from a scientific, historic and personal perspective.

Thom Britton, Jr

Thom is a sideshow historian and holds a degree in Applied Sciences from Le Cordon Bleu. This love of science and history forms the basis of many of his productions.

Thom has worked at the Lyric Opera House performing circus acts, fire eating and puppetry in 3 of the Lyric’s productions. He has toured the US and Canada extensively, performing in colleges and ‘small hall’ theaters. He’s opened for bands like, Green Day, Lincoln Park, Stone Temple Pilots and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

His focus is now on opening a variety theater, in Chicago.
