Zenobia Therapeutics Presents:
Fragment Based Lead Discovery: Screening Methods and their Applications
Zenobia Therapeutics is hosting a Fragment Based Lead Discovery conference at the La Jolla Cove Research center on October 21st in San Diego, California. Since SARbyNMR was first published in 1997, a number of new approaches have emerged and been applied in a drug discovery setting. The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for informal discussion of experiences with these approaches and to encourage new collaborations among attendees.
Speakers include renowned individuals in the field of FBLD who have been instrumental in the discovery and application of fragment screening methods. Networking opportunities over breakfast, lunch, and a roof top happy hour overlooking the pacific will be provided. Space is limited to a 100 attendees to foster communication and encourage informal scientific discussion.
There will be an opportunity for a select number of individuals to present posters. If you are interested in presenting a poster please send your abstract along with your contact information to Erika@zenobiatherapeutics.com
Speakers and Topics:
Vicki Nienaber (President and CSO, Zenobia Therapeutics) “Fragment-based lead discovery in CNS disease”
Maurizio Pellecchia (Professor, Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute)” Fragment-based approaches to design novel chemical probes and possible therapeutics”
Daniel Erlanson (Co-founder Carmot Therapeutics, Editor in Chief Practical Fragments) “Fishing from Fragments into New Chemical Space”
Tony Giannetti (Research Scientist, Genentech) “Examples and Lessons from Three Years of Fragment Screening at Genentech”
Michelle Arkin (Associate Director of Biology, Small Molecule Discovery Center, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, UCSF) “TBA”
Michael Recht (Research Biochemist, Palo Alto Research Center) “Fragment-based screening for enzyme inhibitors using enthalpy arrays”
Kathryn Loving (Schrodinger) “Energetic analysis of fragment docking and improved structure-based fragment virtual screening”
