More than 750 children in Buncombe County were identified as homeless last year, a number which has more than doubled over the last five years in area schools.
Join us for a panel discussion with the subjects of the Citizen-Times series about their experience living in and out of homelessness over the last year, along with local experts working to end child homelessness, to discuss the challenges they face and how the community can take action.
The event, free and open to the public, will be at Dr. Wesley Grant Sr. Southside Center in Asheville.
The discussion will be moderated by Citizen-Times reporter, Casey Blake, and photographer, Erin Brethauer, who have followed families living in homelessness over the last 10 months. Audience questions are encouraged.
