THE LOLA SRW F3,
THE WORLDS FINEST RACING SCHOOL CAR
For those who yearn for the thrill of speeding around a world-famous track in a state-of-the-art race car, our Formula 3 Racing Experience is the emphatic, adrenaline-pumping answer. Whether you’re ticking an item off a bucket list or looking for an unbeatable gift idea, this half-day course has it all, dropping you into the cockpit of the ultimate single-seater training car on one of the most exciting road courses in the US.
After a brief introductory meeting, drivers will be fitted for their race car and supplied with all the necessary equipment. Then, after a short briefing on cockpit procedures, it’s out onto the world-famous Sonoma Raceway, where one of our expert instructors will be on hand to aid acclimatization. Finally, it’s time to open the throttle, with multiple lapping sessions around the 2.52-mile track at ever-increasing speeds.
1. Do I need my driver’s license to race one of your SRW-F3s?
No, a license is not required. In fact, our racing school is open to drivers 14 years and older. Please check with a racing consultant if you want to race, but don’t meet the normal age requirement.
2. Is the School of Racing only for racers who want to make a career out of racing?
No, the School of Racing is a great course for anyone from the novice to the seasoned veteran. The skills taught in any of our courses will help on the track as well as in every day driving. These courses do not have any age maximum, as long as you have a clean bill of health.
3. Can I bring my own equipment?
Yes, but your driving suit needs to be a minimum of 2-layer nomex, and your helmet must meet current Snell approval. If you need racing shoes, they are provided to you at no charge, but please make arrangements with a racing consultant at time of registering.
4. Can I bring spectators?
Yes, you can bring your fans to watch or take photos for you. If they want to be included for your breakfast and lunch, there will be a nominal fee required, and please let us know upon enrollment registration so the catering can be set-up in advance.
5. How do I get my SCCA license?
You are eligible for an SCCA racing license upon successful completion of Stage 1 & 2 School of Racing courses. Once you have completed the courses, you can request an application from your racing consultant, and they will help you through the process.
6. Can I mount my own camera to the car for my course?
Yes, there are selected cameras that can be used on our car. Please check with a racing consultant for additional information.
