For the Love of Justice
Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (PST)
Come hang out at the annual event of LDIR (Leadership Development in Interethnic Relations). This gathering of LDIR fans, alumni, activists, and other community members includes a silent auction, bar, snacks, performances and an open mic.
The event is held every year in February to create a space that celebrates love in a different, more inclusive way than Valentine’s Day. We're celebrating all kinds of love that unite people across difference.
This year’s event has the tagline of “Strut Your Stuff,” because alumni and friends are encouraged to creatively showcase their social justice work via spoken word, dance, and other modes of expression. In addition to performances, the event will feature a silent auction. To get involved, donate, and learn more, please contact Raven Jones at email@example.com.
LDIR is a nonprofit program that offers workshops to develop leaders with social consciousness and cultural awareness. Come support a great social justice initiative, co-sponsored by a multiracial coalition of organizations. Learn more about LDIR at http://ldir.org. $20 suggested donation.
