For a Better World: Practicing Ethical Global Engagement

In this FREE skills-building workshop, students will evaluate their capacity, deepen their knowledge and sensitivity and develop their ethical practices in line with the Global Competence Framework. Students will strengthen their global health networks and communities of practice and become better prepared for careers in global health.
This FULL day workshop is ideal for students from all backgrounds including domestic students with and without prior global experiences, international students, and those who are interested in learning more about global competence. Students who register are expected to attend the full day of the workshop.

Katherine L. Turner, MPH is Founder and President of Global Citizen, LLC, a consulting firm that improves international health, human relations and productivity and fosters mutual empowerment by enhancing people’s and agencies’ capacity to interact and work more effectively across cultures and countries. She is also adjunct faculty at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and Senior Advisor for Health Systems at Ipas, an international women’s health NGO.
