Who: Volunteers of all ages are welcome; minors under 18 require a signed waiver and children under 12 require an accompanying adult unless prior approval is obtained from the workday supervisor. Groups can contact Missy Pinney at firstname.lastname@example.org for their own special program dates/hours.
What: Volunteers help with habitat restoration work such as removal of invasive plants, installing native plants, and trail maintenance.
Where: 3300 Page Mill Rd. Los Altos Hills, CA. The park entrance is about 2.7 miles west of I-280 on Page Mill, between Central and Moody rd. Once in the park you will follow the road, veering left at the Y intersection, then past the lake and down into a valley. When you see the sign for the Orchard Glen Picnic Area you will turn left and park. We will meet in the orchard glen picnic area. Please do not rely on a car GPS for directions. These have often led people astray when trying to find the park. Also, please be aware that there is little cell phone reception once you are in the park.
Please bring: A reusable water bottle and dress for outdoor work (sturdy shoes and long pants recommended). We provide gloves and tools. Minors under 18 must bring a waiver form signed by a parent.
PLEASE NOTE: When you complete your registration for this event, you DO NOT need to print a receipt or ticket.
