Food & Wine of the San Francisco Bay Area: Tastings with a Local Focus
Weekly Event - Every Tuesday Thursday Friday & Sunday: 12:30 PM (PST)
San Francisco, CA
Enjoy a taste of the region’s
artisan food & wine and the stories of the locals who grow and craft them...
A taste of local flavor. Each tasting event focuses on local artisan food and wine, grown and made entirely within the Bay Delta Bioregion (about a 100 mile radius around the city of San Francisco.)
The perfect lunch. Enjoy a flight of three wines from the renowned “wine country” of Sonoma County and a generous lunch plate, filled with the bounty of the Bioregion: a selection of award-winning cheeses, fresh baked bread, olive oil, olives, a variety of nuts, and either fresh or dried fruit, depending on the season.
Who makes this fine food and wine? As you nibble and sip, your host will give a talk on how this local food and drink came to be: from the winemakers to the dairy cows. You will also receive a map to take home, showing the source locations of the food and wine.
A cozy event. Tastings are held at mid-day on a weekly basis at a quiet, tucked-away winery in San Francisco (www.bluxomewinery.com.) This is a seated tasting and the maximum group size is six guests.
Price per person includes:
- generous lunch plate & wine flight
- educational talk & map
- gratuity for wine steward only
