CATA, El Comité de Apoyo a los Trabajadores Agrícolas/The Farmworker Support Committee, Invites you to a Movie Premiere!
As a part of International Food Workers Week, CATA will host a short documentary films screening and discussion around issues of workers’ rights, immigration, and food justice. Come learn about the injustices facing many food and migrant workers today and how you can be a part of creating a more just and sustainable food system.
We will be showing the following documentaries:
"The Plight of the Workers"
A film about workers’ rights from the perspectives of migrant workers in New Jersey.
"Hungry for Justice"
A film made by the Agricultural Justice Project about an inspiring model that can ensure social justice in all aspects of the food system, from field to table.
A discussion with local agricultural/food worker members of CATA will follow. Refreshments will be provided.
There is a suggested donation of $10.

CATA is a migrant farmworker organization that is governed by and comprised of farmworkers and other low-wage immigrant workers in southern NJ, eastern PA, and Salisbury, MD who are actively engaged in the struggle for better working and living conditions. CATA's mission is to empower and educate workers through leadership development and capacity building so that they are able to make informed decisions regarding the best course of action for their interests.
