FOIA Machine launch party, hosted by Mother Jones
Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco , CA
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Join us for food and drinks at Mother Jones’ offices in San Francisco as the FOIA Machine team launches its open beta platform!
With the spotlight on citizens’ rights to access, the FOIA Machine team has been hard at work and is excited to show off the latest updates to its platform. Team members will be on hand to demo the site, help users activate accounts and explain how you can get involved with the project.
Journalists and First Amendment advocates, with decades of experience in dealing with open records laws, will participate in a roundtable discussion on right to access. They will focus on how we can better use existing laws and how we can improve upon the policies and laws that currently exist.
The event is free and includes complimentary food and beverages. Space is limited, so please register if you plan on attending.
We look forward to continuing an open discussion of improving open records access, which has been the core of this project from the beginning. And we thank all of our Kickstarter supporters who helped The Center for Investigative Reporting team get FOIA Machine off the ground.
