Fertilizing Turfgrass

Take the fear out of fertilizing!  Jim Davis, UF/IFAS Extension, Sumter County Agent, will take the mystery and the fear out of fertilizing your turfgrass.  You will learn:

  • when to begin and when to end fertilizing for the year
  • what fertilizer is best for your turfgrass
  • numbers on the bag and why reading the label is important
  • how to calibrate your spreader

Fertilizing improperly can cause many problems with turfgrass.  And even if you don't handle your own fertilization, this class will help you understand and interact with your landscaper regarding your lawn.

Join us on March 28 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sumter County Service Center, 7375 Powell Road, Room 102, Wildwood.  Register early as these classes are selling out.

If you prefer to register offline, email plantclinic@aol.com or call 352-793-2728, Ext. 229 and leave your name, phone and number of tickets required. We will contact you to confirm your reservation.
