First Responder Safety Training on Electric Vehicles

Presented by: National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC)

Instructor: Gary Garrisi, Battalion Chief, Yuba City Fire Department

Date: Tuesday, May 15, 2012

Time: 10:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

When an accident involves an alternative fuel vehicle (AFV), emergency and first responders must achieve balance between speed and caution. These courses will equipped emergency and first responders with the knowledge they need to manage automotive accidents involving AFVs, an increasingly relevant topic as AFV adoption rates increase.

NAFTC First Responder Safety Training  features a suite of modern technology products and training for electric drive vehicles including:

·         Instructor manuals
·         Participant manuals
·         Workshop booklets
·         NAFTC’s Quick Reference Guide
·         Quick Reference Guide mobile App (free download)
·         Online training (Electric drive only)

Note: Due to time constraints, these offerings from the NAFTC will be a broad overview of the course content.
