First Global Data Hackathon - San Francisco & Silicon Valley
Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 5:00 AM - Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 5:00 AM (PDT)
The world’s first international "Data Science Hackathon"! It’s organised by Data Science London, and will take part simultaneously in many cities around the world: London, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Berlin, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne (as of last count). So yes, Californians, we'll be starting at 5am to hack along with the rest of the world for 24 hours.
Due to demand, Data Science Global - San Francisco is organizing two simultaneous hackathon venues in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Space is limited, especially in SF, so get you tickets early. You can also compete remotely through the Kaggle platform, in which case you don't need a ticket.
UPDATE: We're opening a second venue in San Francisco (Splunk office on Brannan Street - Thank you Splunk!). Waitlist will have priority.
Many thanks to Data Collective, Founders Den (SF venue), Ground Floor (Silicon Valley venue), Splunk (second SF venue) and our friends at HackerDojo and Kaggle for helping to organize and letting us use their space for this first of its kind event!
