Message In The Music Campaign is a bi-monthly music & performing arts
event/conference that takes place at Everlasting Life Restaurant and Lounge
at 9185 Central Ave, Capitol Heights, MD 20743. We are looking for poets,
comedians, rappers, singers, dancers, and community and spiritual leaders
to sign up for this event. This event is presented by Edward Tate, President, First Fruit
Performing Arts Network.
The purpose and goal of the Message In the Music Campaign is to use music, and the
performing arts to promote unity and love in the community and to channel the creative
talent of the artists to enhance the community's collective conscious awareness around
social issues that impact our community.
The Message In the Music is an Edu-tainment event, whereas each show will have a theme,
such as Police Brutality, Black-on-Black crimes, Domestic Violence, etc. and Community and
Spiritual Leaders along with the artists will offer words of wisdom and edutainment as a source
of healing, awareness and inspiration around that week's theme.
We will showcase DMV’s finest (DC, Maryland and Virginia) in Poetry, Positive Hip-hop, R&B,
Comedy, Gospel, Spoken Word, Dancers, Vendors, Painters and more. Therefore, we are inviting
all artists, and community and spiritual leaders to come and support this community event to
contribute towards the healing and up-liftment of our community.
This community and family-oriented event is truly a ministry of music and the arts. This is a
great event to bring your wife, husband, double-date, entire family and friends and associates,
as the time is now for us to heal and unite as a "community-family"
