First Friday Series: Electronic Portfolio Workshop
Friday, October 4, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Co-Sponsored by O'Kelly Library
An Electronic Portfolio (E-Portfolio) is a digitized collection of artifacts including demonstrations, resources and accomplishments. E-Portfolios are a valuable assessment tool. E-Portfolios can be an effective administrative tool for instructors to manage and organize the work of their students. Additionally, E-Portfolios can be utilized by faculty to organize and document their ongoing teaching, research and service efforts for tenure and promotion. (The University does not use an electronic tenure and promotion portfolio system). This workshop introduces faculty to tools that can be used to develop E-Portfolios. Faculty will be encouraged to think about how E-Portfolios can be applied to use in their classrooms or their own professional development.
