Jim Twining has been chief executive officer of Southern Tide, LLC since 2008, and as such, is responsible for the overall operations of the company. Southern Tide is the Greenville, SC based manufacturer of the “Skipjack Polo,” deemed by customers to be the finest, most comfortable polo shirt in the world. Four years ago, the Southern Tide line of sportswear was in approximately 40 stores and currently is in over 500 stores across the country.
Before joining Southern Tide, Twining began his own consulting and advisory company, Twining Enterprises, LLC. Prior to founding his consulting practice, Twining served as president and chief executive officer of a technology company focused on the independent distribution and retail industries. A native of Charlotte, N.C., Twining graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration.
