First Annual MCYAF Community Heroes Benefit Dinner

The Maine Community Youth Assistance Foundation (MCYAF) will host its first community-wide fundraiser honoring individuals and organizations in the fight against local teen drug and alcohol abuse.
The following Community Heroes will be honored:
The Police Departments of Des Plaines, Niles and Park Ridge will be honored for their operational support of the Drug Drop- Off Box program whioch has collected more than a thousand pounds of prescription drugs out of local water supplies and out of kids' hands
Maine West High School Principal Dr. Audrey Haugen and Maine West DECA program advisor Mr. David Baysingar for their successful development of the MCYAF "Choices" program which won state and national recognition
Dr. Rose Garlasco, Assistant Principal in District 207, for her untiring and dedicated support as the founding Board President of MCYAF
Victor Pacini of Innertainment will provide thought-provoking entertainment during the cocktail hour and dinner. Pacini, founder of www.ParentChildSuccess.com, has written several books and made two music CDs on strengthening parent-child bonds and helping youth develop personal confidence. The evening’s entertainment also includes a raffle and silent auction.
A delicious Cafe la Cave dinner will consist of:
Salad: Bouquet of Mixed Greens with Asian Cucumber with Raspberry Vinaigrette
Entree: Duo of Chicken a La Cave twin breast of chicken one with white sherry cream sauce wild mushrooms and shallots and the other with Madeira wine sauce and Shiitake mushrooms
Fettuccini with Pesto Cream and Fresh Tomato
Vegetarian option: Grilled Vegeatables en croute: Marinated Seasonal vegetables grilled and baked in a flakey puff pastry on tomato sauce
Dessert: Gourmet Ice Cream in Chocolate Wafer Cup and Occasion Cake
Coffee and a Cash Bar Available
Tickets are only $50 each and a table of 10 is $450.

The Maine Community Youth Assistance Foundation (MCYAF) is a 501(c)(3)not-for-profit organization whose mission is the prevention of adolescent drug and alcohol abuse and the promotion of positive mental health for teens in Maine Township. MCYAF works with parents, schools, police, youth, government, health care providers, social service, faith and civic organizations toward a common goal of healthy youth.
