Informative Free Workshop October 8 in Aurora hosted by Gideon Blustein, Deputy Director from the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) who will give a candid talk about Illinois’ Workforce System, why it is set up the way it is and how to best navigate it toward a new job, a new career or a new business venture. Most people are confused by the alphabet soup of “the workforce system” and are not aware of all the FREE help available whether you’re making $10.00/hour or $100,000/year.

Gideon Blustein is IDES’ Deputy Director whose job is “to transform IDES from the unemployment office into the re-employment office.” Prior to joining IDES, Gideon served as Executive Director of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce Infrastructure Council where he advocated for investment in Illinois roads, bridges, airports, railways and waterways. Gideon served two former Illinois Members of Congress in senior level positions in the suburbs of Illinois and in Washington, DC.
