The economy is in recovery.  Maybe. We’ve been told that we’re supposed to save money for grad school or for that special purchase, but more often than not, we make excuses. Later, next month, next year…

Regardless of your current stage in life, being a good financial planner is what enables you to quit worrying and focus on the important stuff. After all, how can you enjoy the sunshine on that Thai beach if you're fretting about the price of your flight home?

So - are your finances in order? What do you need to know? If you want to do something big in the near future – grad school, career change, launch an enterprise - what do you need to plan for now?

Yeah, it can be a little overwhelming. Like reaching any goal, reaching your financial goals takes careful planning.  This workshop will examine all of the financial issues that you're facing now, and what the solutions look like.

In this workshop, we’ll focus on the nuts and bolts of a successful financial life:

·       Saving and Budgeting

·       Investing and Risk Management

·       Buy-Sell Agreements

·       Key Person, Disability and Business Overhead Insurance

·       Retirement Planning

·       …and any other questions you might have about personal and business finance

Agenda

6:00-6:15pm :: Welcome from StartingBloc

6:15-7:00pm :: Personal Planning and Entrepreneurial Finance

7:00-7:45pm :: Dinner Conversations with Attendees and Speakers

7:45-8:30pm :: Long-term Retirement Planning

Why dinner? :: BuildingBloc programs are all about building skills and building relationships. What good is an idea and a toolkit without a network of supporters to help make it happen? In addition to our featured educators, we believe in unleashing the collective knowledge in the room through serendipitous conversations. We facilitate these connections over dinner so attendees will leave with the most important resource out there – connections to great people.
