This course was developed for business principals/managers interested in learning or brushing up on intermediate accounting skills. The primary topics covered are the proper reading and interpretation of the two most important financial statements: profit and loss (income statement) and the balance sheet. We will discuss in depth relationships between statements and how to properly analyze and identify variances/anomalies in a practical business setting. We will also review general budgeting techniques and financial performance valuation.
Participants should have completed Bookkeeping for Small Business, or be familiar with the concepts covered in that seminar. $40 registration fee. Presented by the SF SBDC.
