Registration Information for the Small Business Growth and Planning Series

(Small Business GPS)

Replacing GROW’s long time Minding Your Own Business course is the new Small Business Growth and Planning Series (Small Business GPS). Here is how it works.

Three clusters of three classes each will be offered quarterly. These three clusters are:

•    Business Basics
o    Strategic Planning
o    Taxes and Legal - Session 1

o    Taxes and Legal - Session 2

•    Marketing Strategies

o    Marketing 101
o    Internet Marketing
o    Branding & Personal Selling

•    Financial Awareness

o    Basic Bookkeeping
o
Financial Analysis 101
o
Financing Options

•
Wrap Up and Implementation

People can pick and choose any or all of the clusters. For example, someone may have a marketing background, so they may choose to only take the Business Basics and Financial Awareness Clusters.

Note: people can pick and choose only clusters, not classes. Registrants need to take all three classes in a cluster. A cluster costs $60 (early registration) and consists of 3 classes.

Small Business GPS is designed to provide participants the information and resources to write a business plan. Someone taking all three clusters and the final Wrap Up and Implementation class will be able to write a business plan
.

Free parking for GROW classes is available in the YWCA lot, located on corner of Weston St SE and South Division. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Enter the lot through the yellow gate on Weston St SE and ring the buzzer to for entry. On your way out of the building, you will need to note the parking code on the back door, which is required to exit the lot.

Cancellation Policy: We are not able to give refunds. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. Contact GROW at (616) 458-3404.
