 ABOUT GREG COOLIDGE

A native of Oklahoma, Greg Coolidge moved to Los Angeles and immediately found success producing and starring in the Sundance favorite Possums. With the momentum of the film, Coolidge began to expand his career co-writing with fellow Oklahoman, Joe Jarvis, where they wrote Truth or Dare for New Line and Disney's cult hit Sorority Boys and its sequel, followed by the Jack Black project - First, Last and Security – also for the Mouse House.

Coolidge then broke out on his own writing and selling The Sachem Cup to Revolution Studios and That’s Amore to DreamWorks Animation. He became an increasingly in-demand comedy writer as he closed a $1.25 million deal at Paramount for his pitch - Cockblocker with Sean William Scott and Topher Grace attached. Once scripted. it landed on the coveted Hollywood Black List. Coolidge also created Rev’ved for Fox Television and both 5’0 and Procedural for NBC/Universal TV, proving his success easily translated from the big to small screen.

During this time he also began collaborating with a group of fellow comedy writers called The Job Factory. Together they wrote Longshots and Uncoachable for Disney and Supermovie for Revolution.

Greg followed his continuing success as a writer with his directorial debut Employee of The Month, Lionsgate’s hit comedy starring Dane Cook, Jessica Simpson and Dax Shephard. For an $8 million budget it grossed over $40 million worldwide. And as a producer, Coolidge sold his original idea Mancrush to New Line with fellow Job Factory member Rob McKitrick to script.

Expanding his brand to a younger demo - Coolidge co-created, directed, and executive produced the WGA-award winning action adventure show The Troop for Nickelodeon, their highest budgeted show ever. Following 40 episodes in back-to-back seasons and establishing himself as an accomplished writer, director, and producer, he teamed up with another Job Factory member, Josh Cagan, where the two scripted their pitch, Dirty Old Men, which Warner Bros. purchased with Morgan Freeman attached to produce and star.

Realizing you can get twice as much accomplished when collaborating, Coolidge ultimately partnered with writer/actor/comedian, Kirk Ward to help rewrite the New Line feature For Sale starring rapper TI, which Coolidge is set to direct.

Coolidge and Ward followed up by selling The Last Ninja, a live-action big-budget adventure series to The Cartoon Network and they most recently set up Take My Wife at Lionsgate starring Tyler Perry and The Rock.

Most recently, Universal picked up Coolidge’s pitch and script Ride Along, starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart. It set the record for biggest box-office opening for MLK weekend and the biggest January opening of all time at $48.6 million. Currently, it has grossed over $150 million and spawned a sequel.

Next on the horizon for Coolidge and Ward... The Enforcers with Ice Cube and Roadrunner with Scott Eastwood and Trace Adkins.
