Event Details

The Contradictions of Fair Hope traces the development, struggles, contributions, and gradual loss of tradition of one of the last remaining African-American benevolent societies, founded after Emancipation and known as “The Fair Hope Benevolent Society.” Join Executive Producers and Co-directors S. Epatha Merkerson and Rockell Metcalf in a talk back with Schomburg director Khalil Gibran Muhammad about Merkerson's first feature film project.
