FuelFilm:Memphis announces their first annual “Filmmakers Media Expo” slated for Saturday, August 27, 2011, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at The Sky Grill. Combining the elements of creative arts and technical savvy, the Filmmakers Media Expo promises something for everyone in the Mid-South’s Film Community, or for those eager to ‘get their Hollywood on’! Events include casting calls for actors, hands-on tabletop demonstrations and workshops, guest speakers, crew and PA networking opportunities, and hourly prize giveaways. FuelFilm offers a day of learning and "hands on" presentations for every element of filmmaking -- from script to screen, for all ages and skill levels.
Cast your actors - Cast your crew – this is your event!. “The Expo has been considered with filmmakers, screenwriters, technical crew, actors, producers, directors, PA's in mind, Event Co-Chair Matt Beickert says. While our other workshops and panels have targeted a more specific audience, the Filmmakers Media Expo is for the entire filmmaking community
Directors and Producers will have the opportunity to meet and network with technical film crew members and support personnel. Screenwriters will have the opportunity to pitch their scripts to filmmakers. Casting Directors will have private space within the multi-level Sky Grille to meet actors and cast projects. Event Co-Chair David Merrill observes, “the Filmmakers Media Expo will allow first-time filmmakers and aspiring film support professionals to network and learn from industry pros – it’s win-win for everyone”.

You can register as an actor, a crew person or register to reserve booth space. Booth space consists of a 30" by 30" table and some space on our trade-show floor. The cost is the same for all, but booth space is limited and is first-come-first-served.
When & Where
FuelFilm:Memphis is engaged in promoting growth of the Memphis film industry through education of Filmmakers, Producers, Investors and the Business community. We provide instruction in best practices of film finance, investment and the business of film, and we facilitate and encourage the relationships between them.
Bottom Line - our mission is to get more local films made in Memphis.
Booths - "Booths" are 30" x 30" tables which will be lined up around the main floor of Sky Grille. There's a wall of bench seating where the booths will be placed, so one or two "seats" are avaialbe on the bench behind your table but no chairs can be place in front of your table to allow for traffic to flow.
VIP Areas - As an exhibitor you have access to our VIP areas, reserved for casting and private meetings. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a VIP area, or you may sign up at the event.
Power - If you need power, please bring a 100' extension cord and a power strip.
Signage - Each booth will have an 8 1/2" x 11 " sign with the company name you included in your registratoin. If you wish to change this name, please contact me today!
Parking - Parking is available in the SWTCC college parking lot on Union, across the street from Sky Grille, or you may park on the street behind Sky Grille on Marshall.
Set-up - Fuel Film Volunteers will be at Sky Grille starting at 9am. You may set up anytime before the 1pm start time. We recommend you arrive no later than noon.
