Sunday, Nov. 13th - "Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today" - 2pm @ The Miami Beach Cinematheque
1130 WASHINGTON AVE, GROUND FLOOR MIAMI BEACH, FL A special presentation of Miami short Film Festival’s outreach program designed for South Florida area film schools, as well as Miami-Dade County Public Schools film programs. Schools were invited to submit their students’ films. The Festival’s programmers chose the films that compete this year. The attending audience of this screening will decide on the winner by way of voting. The winner will be announced at the MsFF Official Award night on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Come support your favorite filmmaker and represent your school.

Sunday, Nov. 13th - "Tell Me A Story: Films for all ages" - FREE - 2pm @ Miami Children's Museum
980 MACARTHUR COSWAY, MIAMI, FL. 33132. Join us for a delightful selections of Sunday shorts to be enjoyed by all ages. Films will screen in conjunction with the opening of the Miami Children's Museum's new Pirate Island Exhibit. Arrrrgg! These screenings are free with admission.
Monday, Nov. 14th - "The Glorious Crew" w/ Red Carpet Opening - @ Colony Theater (7:30pm)
The Miami short Film Festival has consistently attracted some of the best short films the world has to offer. Many of the films have gone on to win an Academy Award, or were chosen as best shorts at Sundance and the Berlinale. In tribute to our 10th anniversary, tonight we have hand- picked a selection of short films that were screened since the festival’s inception. They range from brilliant animations to heartbreaking dramas. We dubbed their directors THE GLORIOUS CREW. Come and meet them!

Tuesday, Nov. 15th - "Breaking Glass" - @ Colony Theater (7:30pm)
They are hipsters and rebels, misfits and prophets. For the characters of this film, rule breaking is sometimes a style and often a revelation. From meeting the real life Dude behind Jeff Bridges’ iconic portrayal in the Big Lebowski to a young man, whose act of defiance and source of happiness is to reach to the past, we learn that breaking through to the other side can be done in many ways. Tuesday, Nov. 15th - "Our Secret Lives" - @ The Colony Theater (9:30pm)
We all have our secrets, fiercely protected or often conveniently forgotten. From an Iranian girl, who has an affair with a married man, to the hilarious unraveling of a British couple during a country wedding, when hidden truths are revealed, they destroy or liberate us. Wednesday, Nov. 16th - "The Latin Files" - @ Colony Theater (7:30pm)
Mexico and Venezuela have witnessed the birth of a vigorous and dyna- mic generation of young filmmakers. This new age of cinema is challenging many of the traditional representations of the two countries. Stunning cine- matography and strong statements are combined to reflect the political and social changes of recent decades. Tonight we honor the rich cinema- tic roots and groundbreaking new talent of Mexico and Venezuela. Stay after for a Q&A with visiting directors and producers (TBA).

Wednesday, Nov. 16th - "Don't Look Down" - @ Colony Theater (9:30pm)
By now we have realized that our modern families have changed forever. Our films tonight will show you an arranged marriage and how that works out for the young couple and a girl, who get in trouble for kissing another girl at school. What’s important is that our heroes search for happiness in unique ways and proudly, they never look down. We all do crazy, silly, strange and at times regrettable things in life. So- metimes the effects are irreversible. Sometimes we are given a chance to redeem ourselves. Sit back and experience the ecstasy of life. It’s not always pleasant, yet it’s consistently profound. From poetic renderings of voodoo to the technically marvelous, yet remarkably human animations, every film is a revelation.
