Film Criticism in the Age of Twitter

The Topic: Everyone's a Critic: Film Criticism in the Age of Twitter
What's the job of a professional film critic when everyone with a Twitter account can blast their thumbs up or thumbs down to millions in seconds? How is movie criticism and writing about film changing to keep up with the times? This conversation with two of the web’s most read film writers will explore the changing role of the movie critic in the age of social media.
Film critics Will Leitch (New York Magazine, Deadspin/Gawker's Grierson & Leitch film column) and Dana Stevens (Slate's movie critic and host of the Slate Spoiler Special podcast) will discuss the challenge (and fun) of writing about film in the age of social media, followed by an audience Q&A.
Afterwards, network, mingle and continue the conversation with a drink from the (cash) bar.
The event is free, but space is limited, so please RSVP.
Can't join us? The conversations will be recorded and available on our website at www.tribecafilm.com.
