With great disappointment, the Festival of Preaching + Worship 2016 has been cancelled.
Why? After an initial surge, our registration numbers continued to be significantly lower than they were for the same period in 2014, the last year the Festival was held, and we were about to make financial commitments that could not be covered by our current registration numbers.
We still feel very confident this would have been a wonderful Festival of Preaching +Worship focused on such an important topic right now: justice. Our greatest disappointment is we are not able to join with all of you next month in the First United Methodist Church sanctuary participating together in dynamic worship and hearing some wonderful preachers. Take heart knowing it has been the thought of offering each of you who preach and lead or participate in worship on regular basis an inspiring experience that kept us going through the planning process.
We are working to refund all registrations in full. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with your questions and comments.
