Event Details

Swiss-born Charles Dutoit is one of today’s most sought-after chef d’orchestre. In Chicago to lead the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in two all-French programs including works by Ravel, D’Indy, Debussy, and Saint-Saëns and partnering with renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma on Lalo’s Cello Concerto, Charles Dutoit is presently Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of London’s Royal Philharmonic. He was music director of the Montreal Symphony for 25 years.

Join us for a conversation between Maestro Dutoit and the CSO's Artistic Programming Advisor, Gerard McBurney, revealing what life is like for a chef d’orchestre who has captivated audiences in all 196 nations of the world.
