Fencing Demonstration and Farm Tour
Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (PDT)
The Finch's are hard at work getting their 5 acre property ready for winter. Their property is a work in progress as they recently began working with the Snohomish Conservation District to help reach their goals of being chore efficient in managing the mud, manure, and pastures while protecting the wildlife and water quality of their stream and ponds.
They just completed their first task of managing the manure from their 3 horses and 2 donkeys by building a 3 bin composting system. They are now on to their next task of fencing their livestock from a stream and two ponds with 3 strand 1/4" equibraid fence. You are invited to come out while fencing contractor Monte Gerdes installs, completes and explains the importance of a well built fence.

Snohomish Conservation District
Better Ground Programs are brought to you by the Snohomish Conservation District.
Snohomish Conservation District helps residents conserve and protect natural resources through education, technical assistance, and incentives to ensure a healthy environment and clean water. We are a political subdivision of state government with no regulatory authority. We have been working with farmers, city residents, rural and sub-urban landowners on a voluntary basis since 1941. SCD boundaries include most of Snohomish County and all of Camano Island.
