Event Details

Feed Your Mind Wellness™, a healthcare consortium specializing in holistic approaches to overall mental and physical well-being, proudly welcomes Dr. Mark Hyman for “Emerging Approaches to Chronic Illness: Achieving Wellness Within Your Community.”  This inspiring event, led by Dr. Hyman, Feed Your Mind Wellness’™  founder, Sandra Scheinbaum, Ph.D., and medical consultant, Marlon Kleinman, MD, is dedicated to combatting illness within one’s community and working together to lead healthier lives.

During this informative presentation, Dr. Hyman will address the impact one’s lifestyle, culture and traditions have on overall wellness.  Dr. Hyman will explore how the unique customs within one’s community, including the rituals of holiday meals and religious gatherings, are contributing to chronic illness, including “diabesity” - conditions ranging from blood sugar imbalance to obesity and diabetes - a world-wide epidemic, affecting more than one billion people.

Through conversation and Q & A, Dr. Hyman, Dr. Scheinbaum, and Dr. Kleinman will offer information and resources community members can use to combat illness together, including diet choices which can reverse chronic illness, and the power of support networks.  Guests will leave “Emerging Approaches to Chronic Illness: Achieving Wellness Within Your Community,” feeling empowered and with a better understanding of how their community can serve as a catalyst for living a healthier and longer life.
