Event Details

The new WOSB/EDWOSB set-aside contracting program began in February 2011. The SBA will discuss the WOSB rule and eligibility requirements for participation in this program; how the program will work and the certification process.

The 8(a) Business Development Program is SBA’s effort to promote equal access for socially and economically disadvantaged individuals to participate in the business sector of the nation’s economy. Those who can demonstrate that they are socially and economically disadvantaged may also be eligible.

The HUB Zone Empowerment Contracting Program seeks to encourage economic development in historically underutilized business zones – “HUB Zones” through the establishment of preferences for award of Federal contracts to small businesses in such areas.

Instructors:

  • Stephanie Burroughs - Director of Procurement Programs for the NJ Small Business Development Centers
  • Sanford Gerber - 8(a) Business Development Specialist for the NJ Small Business Administration
  • Rosa Rodriguez - 8(a) Business Development Specialist for the NJ Small Business Administration
