Isn't it about time to get that product that you have been plotting, thinking, dreaming and creating into the marketplace? These two product powerhouse have made their product dreams a reality. And, one of them even wrote a step by step guide on how you can do it, too!
Sandy Abrams is the author of Your Idea, Inc. and founder of Moisture Jamzz.
Why did she write "Your Idea, Inc"?
Sandy started with a business idea—and little else. She went in search of a comprehensive guide she could understand without having an M.B.A. that would teach the basics in a step-by-step fashion, but could find nothing. Undaunted, she learned the ins and outs of starting a business on the fly—and wrote the book herself. The result is a positive playbook for turning a great idea into a workable business model. There's a wealth of information, presented simply but comprehensively, covering such essentials as intellectual property, LLCs, overseas manufacturing, software, paperwork and credit cards, as well as larger subjects such as marketing, Internet sales, Mom and Pop stores vs. big chains, customer service and work/life balance. Thoughtful pop-ins of Biz Brainstorms and Million-Dollar Tips insert additional advice along the way. Abrams cheers No MBA—no money—no problem! and provides a welcome, refreshing pep talk for budding entrepreneurs.

Kim Olenicoff is an OC native and USC alum. Besides being an attorney, Kim is a brilliant inventor. Her company, Solutions That Stick, has taken a humorous approach to fashion’s little snafus like whale tail, sweaty arm pits, lack of pockets and even...gas! Products like Garment Guard, Skid Out and Pocksie have made their way onto the shelves and onto shows like The Today Show and Rachel Ray. Kim has no shame when it comes to promoting her products. I know that she has donned the life size “taco” costume to bring attention to “taco stains” under the armpits! She really is as funny as she is brilliant.
