These comedy masterminds perform hilarious sketches. Danny Pudi from NBC's "Community", Rasika Mathur of "Wild N Out", and Ranjit Souri of NPR were voted Best bet at Sketchfest in Chicago. Buy tickets now they will sell out.
Danny Pudi (ensemble) stars as Abed on NBC's Community. Half Indian and half Polish, Danny was, of course, born and raised in Chicago. He graduated from Marquette University, where he was the recipient of the inaugural Chris Farley Scholarship. Danny then studied improvisation at The Second City’s Conservatory program. Additional TV credits include ER, Gilmore Girls, Hot in Cleveland, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, and Royal Pains. Film credits include The Pretty One, Vijay and I, and the upcoming Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant. Danny recently directed the ESPN 30 for 30 short filmUntucked, which just premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Danny is an avid runner and enjoys drinking coffee and wearing long underwear. He lives in L.A. with his magical wife Bridget and their two magical children, James and Fiona. @DannyPudi
Rasika Mathur (ensemble) has been entertaining people for nearly two decades, as both a stage and TV/Film actress - MTV's Wild 'N Out, Crazy Stupid Love,The Taqwacores, Children's Hospital, My Name is Earl, and Weeds. She released her own musical comedy album, The Sari (W)rap, filled with funny original numbers and hip hop parodies (such as "Back That Thang Up" - an ode to USB drives) and earned Amoeba Music's “Homegrown Artist of the Month.” Most recently she completed a sketch comedy pilot, The Night Crew, with CBS, and acted as Head Writer/ Correspondent on a sketch comedy pilot with Rick Najera (Almost White, Latinologues, In Living Color, MADtv). Drawing upon 15 years of Self development work, 11 years of various Yoga training and teaching, and Improv roots that started at The Second City Conservatory in Chicago 14 years ago, she is excited about this reunion tour of duty and to create a unique experience for you that’s filled with humor, honesty and heart. @RasiRas
Ranjit Souri (ensemble) is an essayist, stand-up comedian, and teacher, who has performed comedy throughout the USA with The Cupid Players. He has appeared as an essayist on Chicago Public Radio and Cincinnati Public Radio. His essay "Fireworks and Beethoven" was named a Notable Essay in the bookThe Best American Essays 2007. Ranjit teaches Test Prep at Aardvark Prep and Improvisation, Sketch, and Stand-up at The Second City. He hosts three weekly shows in Chicago: one at Stage773 and two at The Second City. He co-hosts the podcast Tomefoolery, in which comedians discuss strange books. Ranjit has a B.S. in Accounting from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Columbia University. @DailyJokeByRanj
John Hildreth (director) is an alumnus of The Second City, an instructor at The Second City Training Center, and an adjunct faculty member in the Theater department at Columbia College. He is delighted to work with Siblings of Doctors again at SketchFest as he did five years ago. @JohnnieHildreth
