Career Day offers students a look into today’s fashion careers, and the opportunity to learn from leading fashion industry professionals. Career Day includes informative and interactive sessions addressing career path opportunities, field specific seminars, and a student design competition.

The Student Design Competition provides enterprising students the opportunity to showcase their creative talent before a panel of fashion professionals. Participating students will see their fashions on the FWNOLA runway that evening at The Sugar Mill. Additionally, the winners will be announced and receive a prize package at FWNOLA.
To be eligible for the Student Design Competition, students are required to register and attend Career Day. Entries must be designed and completed by the applicant within the last six months. Three categories are available, and students may enter in any or all categories. However, only one entry per category will be allowed.

New Orleans Fashion Week was established in 2011 with the objective of building the fashion industry for the Gulf Coast in a series of incredible runway shows.
The overall vision of New Orleans Fashion Week is to foster and support economic growth by raising attention to the talents of southern designers, beauty professionals, photographers and models by combing fashion and beauty on the runway and fusing it with the creative spirit of New Orleans. NOFW has become the catalyst and driving force in bringing industry professionals together to the regions repertoire of artistic talent.
