Event Details

This event has been rescheduled due to inclement weather reported for December 10th.

Don't miss the fashion event of the season!  The American Breast Cancer Foundation, in collaboration with The Johns Hopkins Breast Center on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Campus, is proud to host the 1st Annual "Fashion Saves Lives" event.  Come see the latest holiday fashions from Jones & Jones of Cross Keys, and Jos. A. Bank, featured on beautiful breast cancer survivors--showing that with early detection, anything is possible, even walking down a high-end fashion runway feeling and looking beautiful!

Guest models include breast cancer survivor Shay Sharpe, founder of "SHAY SHARPE'S PINK WISHES" foundation, breast cancer survivor Judy Devanzo of CARE ON foundation, international fitness expert and entrepreneur Lynne Brick, and WBAL-TV's own Sarah Caldwell!  Our emcee is the dynamic and talented Keith Scott, CEO/President of the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce.  Banner sponsor Carbiz has secured BALTIMORE RAVEN ED DICKSON to model, and we are awaiting word from fellow Raven JUSTIN TUCKER.

Food will be provided by a sampling of Baltimore's best restaurants, including Joe Squared and Leinenkugel's Beer Garden, and guests young and old will have full access to one of Baltimore's best museums! Alcoholic beverages will be available via cash bar, with identification required.

Special thanks to ALKO Distributors, Inc. for their generous support.  Funds raised by sponsorships and ticket sales will be used to provide grants for breast cancer early detection screenings and diagnostic tests for those who could not otherwise afford them. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

6:00-7:00 PM:  Fun for everyone!!  Enjoy a taste of Baltimore's best restaurants as you tour through the museum with a general admission ticket, or mingle with models and enjoy a catered soiree in the VIP lounge with the purchase of a VIP Ticket!

7:00-7:30 PM:   Make your way to the catwalk in Port Discovery's Atrium, and relax as the DJ spins music to your ears!

7:30-8:30  PM:  The fashion fun begins!

8:30-9:00 PM:   Fashion wrap-up...See you next year!

The American Breast Cancer Foundation, In Collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Breast Center on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Campus

The American Breast Cancer Foundation is a national, 501 (c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on reducing the financial barriers to breast cancer early detection testing for the uninsured and underserved, regardless of age or gender.

Since 2007, ABCF has assisted over 19,000 uninsured clients from 50 states and the District of Columbia with potentially life-saving mammograms and breast ultrasounds, including over 800 Maryland residents. These grants have totaled over $6.5 million.

ABCF has served over 22,000 clients through its Baltimore-based call center.  In 2013, the organization was honored with the "Mammography Funding Award" from the Primary Care Coalition of Montgomery County after granting $44,000 to help over 700 women obtain breast cancer screenings that they could not otherwise afford.  Ticket sales will be used to expand the number of clients served throughout the Baltimore-Washington corridor.
