Come join us for Fashion Friday on The Plaza!
On Friday, June 21 from 5 - 8 p.m., Popuphood is bringing a slew of mobile fashion trucks and local wine folks to Frank Ogawa Plaza for a fun and FREE happy hour shopping event. You'll get to sip wine, peruse clothing, accessories, and housewares by local and national designers, get snapped at the photo booth, pretty yourself up at our mobile beauty parlors, and more. Whether you’re a nine-to-fiver near the Plaza looking for some retail (and booze) therapy before the schlep home, or an Oaklander with a burning hole in your pocket and a penchant for fun, come on down and support mobile retailers!
We're excited to be partnering with both the City of Oakland and the West Coast Mobile Retail Association for this event.
This Plaza event is just one stop on the association's West Coast Mobile Retail Road Trip – the tour begins in Seattle on June 14, and rolls into Oakland to park at The Plaza for Fashion Friday. The trucks will continue on to San Francisco and then Los Angeles, ending up in San Diego for their last stop on June 30. (A special thanks to Christina Ruiz of TopShelf Boutique and Katie McCarthy of Stop, Shop & Roll.)

When & Where
Popuphood engages community partners, property owners, businesses, municipalities and developers in participating in the global conversations of collective impact, and creative placemaking.
Established in 2011 by creative entrepreneurs Sarah Filley and Alfonso Dominguez, Popuphood is a small business incubator revitalizing neighborhoods block by block. As a for profit social enterprise we are consulted to curate, market, design and engage neighborhoods to define creative place-making and economic development strategies for municipalities, developers, property owners, creatives, and retailers. Popuphood is defining a local approach to rethinking retail and its role as a strategic tool for revitalization. By aligning our goals of neighborhood renewal with strategic partnerships in workforce and business development we leverage the larger business, government and tech sectors to connect micro-businesses to a shared economy of mutual success in a down economy.
