Event Details

Kick off Sacramento's Farm to Fork Week 2014 with a communal commitment to end hunger in our region. Affectionately known as “Fork It!” this sit down dinner features some of the best local producers and farms.

Your ticket buys one dinner for you, and also funds a meal for a sponsored guest who has experienced poverty and food insecurity. We'll break bread together, share stories, and understand better the challenges facing over one quarter million of our neighbors who are food insecure, uplifting the giving and work of individuals, families and organizations whose innovations feed thousands daily.

The family style meal prepared by renowned Chefs Michael Thiemann and Matt Masera of Mother and Empress Tavern will feature local farms and producers including Bledsoe Meats, Kingbird Farms, Durst Farms, Azolla Farms, and Sacramento Waldorf School bio dynamic garden amongst others.. Jason Griest of Old Soul will be on hand blending a special roast to accompany dessert. Local vintner Revolution Wines Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc.

Dinner program Master of Ceremony is Dana Howard.

Keynote speaker is Eric Holt-Gimenez.

Program includes an auction and raffle!

Farm To EVERY Fork is a coalition of farmers, urban gardeners, food banks, Slow Food Sacramento, and other food justice activists, including Loaves and Fishes and the Sacramento Homeless Organizing Committee/Homeward Street Journal.
