Family Program: Buds Story Time at the U.S. National Arboretum
Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM (EDT)
Buds is a tree-focused story time aimed toward an audience of toddlers and preschoolers (18 months to 4 years). Buds will be held in the classroom of the newly remodeled Visitor’s Center at the National Arboretum one Saturday per month. The story time will feature three to four tree and environment focused books interspersed with songs and a craft project. Each family will leave with a list of seasonally appropriate “scavenger hunt items” to track down while exploring the Arboretum on their own after the Buds program has concluded.
The closest Metrorail station is Stadium Armory (Blue and Orange Lines). Transfer to the the B2 Metrobus and get off at the stop near the intersection of Bladensburg Road and Rand Place NE. Walk back to sign at R Street and walk down R Street 2 blocks to Arboretum entrance. There is also free parking available on site. We will meet in the classroom of the Visitor's Center. Enter the Arboretum through the R Street Entrance Gate.
