10:30 – 12:30

Plant an organic veggie garden now before winter arrives! Start harvesting fresh edible goodies from outside your door very soon! It’s the perfect time for garlic, fava beans, lettuce, kale, chard, spinach, pak choi, tatsoi, mizuna, endive, arugula, cilantro, parsley, most herbs, and wildflowers. Learn garden bed prep, planting, plant care and harvesting. Everyone will plant fall veggies and herbs to take home. Plant lists and recipes are provided. Taught by Jody Main, who is a local organic food and garden writer, educator, and consultant. Her specialty is designing gardens that include vegetables, herbs, and berries.
