Help Perform Light Trail Maintenance at
Alderfer/3 Sisters!
BACKGROUND: Near the heart of Evergreen, Alderfer/Three Sisters Park abounds with stunning vistas, landmark rock formations, beautiful old stands of ponderosa pine and the most trails per acre of any foothills park—nearly 15 miles on 770 acres.
Once a working ranch for cattle, horses and foxes, Alderfer/Three Sisters is now a park that offers a variety of experiences, from hikes across rolling terrain to challenging rides to the top of Evergreen Mountain.
Some of the parks trails are currently experiencing erosion, which in turn is causing water quality issues taken into account. Volunteers will help restore trails that are experiencing erosion as well address other portions that require some general maintenance. After the project volunteers will be treated to a barbeque and a chance to win prizes at the Alderfer barn.
**LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED. PLEASE NOTIFY JCOS IF YOU HAVE ANY DIETARY RESTRICTIONS**
