Fall Lawn Care Series

Tired of having an ugly lawn? Sick of high water bills, weeds, and brown spots? A series of upcoming classes at Sedgwick County Extension will help homeowners struggling with their lawns learn strategies to grow great grass, get rid of problems, and understand best watering practices.
The entire series costs $5. Participants may attend as many or as few of the classes as desired. Register online at http://lawncarefall.eventbrite.com or call 316-660-0100. Registration deadline is August 28th.
All classes will be held in the Sedgwick County Extension Center Sunflower Room from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
August 29 – Planting a New Lawn
Get tips on choosing the right grass for your situation and walk through the steps involved in starting a new lawn.
September 5 – Basic Lawn Care
This class will cover basic lawn care principles that will keep your lawn healthy as well as how to deal with a few of the most common lawn problems.
September 12 – Efficient Lawn Watering
This class will cover knowing how much water your lawn needs, when to water, and how to water during heat and drought.
