Enjoy an evening of choral music as our Chamber Singers explore several settings of the Ave Maria text, including a newly published version by North Park University faculty member Thomas W. Jefferson, as well as works by Arcadelt and Bach. The Women's Chorale will present Gabrield Faure's stunning Messe Basse. The University Choir repertoire features the premiere of a modern, newly commissioned edition of Baldasarre Galuppi's setting of Psalm 115; Sing unto the Lord a New Song, a new work by Srul Irving Glick; and Lay a Garland, an ethereal eight-voice madrigal by Robert Lucas. All ensembles will collaborate for a lyrical finish with Ruth Moody's One Voice.
