R.A.W. TRAINING and CROSSFIT R.A.W. are excited to host our 5th Annual FALL BRAWL on October 18th, 2014. This event will be a one day challenge of a series of physical tests consisting of at least 3 events plus a final event.
The FALL BRAWL
R.A.W. TRAINING would like to bring everyone together for an exciting event that is both physically challenging and a BLAST at the same time. Our vision is to bring athletes from not only Pittsburgh and our local community, but also the neighboring CrossFit communities – to all come together for a BRAWL to find out who is the FITTEST MALE, FEMALE, AND MASTER BRAWLER at the end of the day. Being "the fittest" means being able to perform at a high level across a broad spectrum of different physical tests and we plan to do just that! It will be an exciting event to watch as well as compete! Each year this event has grown significantly and the level of competition has as well. Also we plan to have great food and beverages so be prepared to eat and drink too! Finally, we are donating to Team RED WHITE & BLUE again this year, so you will be helping a great cause as well.
Date and Times
The FALL BRAWL will take place on Saturday October 18, 2014. Check-in will be held both the evening of the 17th from 5:00pm-7:00pm and the morning of the 18th from 6:45am-7:45am. Rules and standards meeting will be held at 8:00am and the first event will begin at 9:00am. There will be at least 3 events for all participants, plus a final event for the top athletes. The final event will begin at approximately 6:00pm for the top masters (40+) followed by the top female competitors and then finishing with the men's final with the top male competitors.
The athletes competing in this event will be tested on many fitness levels. The events will incorporate a variety of different movements and skills. We recommend that participants be experienced in Crossfit for at least 6 months plus as this event is not recommended for beginners. The events will incorporate movements that are very familiar to those with CrossFit experience, as well as some challenges that could be unfamiliar as well - we all love a little unknown and unknowable right??!! We will announce the event standards prior to the competition and the final event will be announced at the end of the day which will be held for the top males, females and masters finishers only.
We will have judges for each of the athletes for each event to ensure that all competitors are held to the same rules and movement standards to make this a fair and exciting event. The athletes that finish in the top after all events will move on to the finals. Scoring will be described in more detail when the events are announced.

The Fall Brawl is recommended for intermediate to advanced level athletes. We will be offering a Masters Division for those athletes age 40 and up. We encourage athletes to be familiar with different fitness domains and have significany exposure to CrossFit style workouts. The entrance fee is $80 and THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR TICKET EXCHANGES. All Early Entries (before Oct 1st) are guaranteed a FREE event t-shirt but all late Entrees (after Oct 1st) will not receive a shirt. All athletes will be required to sign a waiver. We are capping this event at 150 participants so sign up now to secure your spot! Last year we sold out in less than 10 minutes!
The FALL BRAWL will be held at the R.A.W. Training Facility at 2330 Wildwood Road, Gibsonia, PA. 15044. It is part of the Wildwood Sports Park.
From Turnpike Exit 39:
• Go south on Route 8 to Wildwood Road
• Make right turn onto Wildwood Road
• Go through traffic light and over bridge
• Wildwood Sports Park will be on your left, just before ASW automotive warehouse and Wildwood Highlands
• Go through the gate to bottom of property
From Route 19:
• Go through North Park onto Wildwood Road
• Wildwood Sports Park is on your right, just past Wildwood Highlands and ASW automotive warehouse

The FALL BRAWL will be held rain or shine at the R.A.W. Training Facility (www.raw-training.com). The weather in Pittsburgh in October is usually perfect fall weather… but it is Pittsburgh…so we will give you a heads up as to the forcast 24-48 hours in advance so you can come prepared with appropriate gear.
Food and Beverages
We will have tons of food and beverages available to purchase for lunch and post BRAWL festivities. Get ready to throwdown some delicious eats - paleo friendly of course.
*BACK THIS YEAR! We will be utilizing our lower level outside for athletes to put up tents, bring blankets, hang out, and recover between wods. Parking down near the tent area is for athletes only that are remaining there for the day. Please feel free to come by as early as 5:00pm Friday night to set up your spot. RV's allowed? - yep!!!
There is NO CHARGE for spectators, although we greatly appreciate spectators making a donation in our donations jar towards our chosen charity TEAM RED WHITE & BLUE http://www.teamrwb.com/. We have plenty of space for all spectators to watch all of the exciting events.
