Introduction to Media Making for Science Learning
Saturday, January 26 from 9:30am - 12:30pm
Discover how easy it is to implement engaging, relevant media-making projects in your science classroom using free resources. Learn by doing! We’ll be creating STEM-based narrated slideshows with iMovie and Movie Maker. Participants will also need to complete an online training module prior to the workshop. ($100 stipend per teacher)
Details for Attendees:
Before the workshop, review and complete assignments from slides 1-14 of the online training module, Digital Media Production for Science Education: Narrated Slideshows.
Please bring the following items with you to the workshop:
- your laptop (if you have not requested one of ours)
- 10-15 images for your narrated slideshow (files, please--no hard copies)
- a 1- to 2-minute script (200-400 words)
- headphones (we will also have some available)
You may park in the back parking lot of the school. The entrance to the lot is through a gate on Morpeth St.
