Give Me the Details:
On Thursday, April 10 from 6-9PM Connect to Tech L.A. in conjunction with the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce and Otis College of Art and Design will co-host a panel discussion on the “Faces of the Creative Economy,” inspired by the quickly emerging creative, media, technology and economic prowess of the Los Angeles region. With innovation at the core of many creative and technology-based companies emerging throughout the Los Angeles area, this event will provide Angelenos with an opportunity to celebrate local product design and technology-focused entrepreneurs.
What does "unique" actually mean in a re-tweetable world? Ever asked yourself how to make a living as a creative without "selling out?" Are you curious about how to take your concept from idea into implementation? Or are you a West LA professional looking to learn more about members of your local creative economy?
Our special guest, City Council District 11 Councilman, Mike Bonin, will address our creative enthusiasts with his discussion about the importance of creativity and innovation for the City of Los Angeles.
Meet our Panel:
Jen Bilik, Founder of Knock Knock, a product design company based in Venice that “puts the fun in functional” through the production and sale of witty products including office, organizational, and bedtime related objects.

The event will end with a set from Sycons, solar powered DJ's and Matthew Horne. There will be food and drinks, and of course cupcakes! Ovation is kindly providing little goodies as well. However, we kindly ask that if food is your biggest motivation, think twice before coming. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the rapidly growing creative sector in Los Angeles.
The event is open to the public.
